Adventure // Everest Base Camp – Departure

Just left A-town! Right now I’m still all over the place with things I need to finish before I’m leaving mother Europe. But, I feel the happiness. Knowing I’m on my way to something I’ve dreamed about since I was young.

To relieve some stress from my parents and for others to keep track (including myself, because I have no idea what I’m doing), here’s our program in Nepal:

18th of May; arrival

19th of May; experience Kathmandu

20th of May; flight to Lukla  (2,800 m), 9-10 km hike to Phakding  (2,652 m)

21st of May; hiking to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) for 5-6 hours

22nd of May; rest day at Namche Bazaar + Sagarmatha National Park

23rd of May; hiking to Thyangboche (3,867 m) + old Thyangboche Monastery or Ghompa

24th of May; hiking to Dimboche (4,358 m)

25th of May; acclimatization at Dimboche

26th of May; hiking to Lobuche (4,928 m)

27th of May; hiking to Gorakshep (5,160 m)

….. and Everest Base Camp  (5,357 m)

28th of May; morning hike to Kalapathar (5,545 m) + walk to Pheriche (4,234 m)

29th of May; hike to Tangbuche

30th of May; hike to Namche

31st of May; hike to Lukla

1st of May; morning flight back to Kathmandu + rest day

… celebration time!!
